Pit Supervisor Application 2016
Audience : Pit supervisor running around the pit all day in his pickup.
Project : Tablet application to track production, monitor vehicle status (fuel, tires, payload…), assign operator with machines, schedule breaks and lunch time, jobs & time codes…
Design Process
A SME (subject matter expert) that became VP over the years, led this redesign project. He designed the first version 20 years ago. UI designers were working closely with the VP. For this project, no user research was conducted. No user tests was conducted on the concept. I left Caterpillar during the project.
